After almost two years of work by the Senate Task Force on Sexual Harassment, Governor Pritzker has signed into effect sweeping legislation for employers regarding sexual harassment in the workplace.
Effective January 1, 2020, this legislation dramatically impacts employers and requires a variety of changes like mandatory anti-harassment training, reporting requirements for final verdicts and decisions, and substantial revisions to employment policies and employment and severance agreements.
Julie Proscia, General Counsel for the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, will lead us through a preview of the changes to come and provide attendees a thorough understanding of the new law and legal requirements.
